Coming into its 28th year of promoting Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) to underserved and underrepresented communities, it is a pleasure to announce that over $450,000 in scholarships is being awarded to almost 150 Class of 2016 HENAAC Scholars by Great Minds in STEM. These merit-based scholarships are awarded by GMiS in three categories, Corporate/Federal Agency-Sponsored Scholarships; Special Recognition Scholarships; and In Memoriam and Personal Tribute Scholarships. Of the 150 scholars that were awarded these scholarships, we are pleased to announce that M.S student Johnathan Quijas has been awarded the $10,000 Intel Foundation Scholarship. C.S. freshmen Veronica Rivas and Cynthia Sustaita have been awarded $10,00 U.S. Navy STEM scholarships. Congratulations Class of 2016 HENAAC Scholars!
