| Professor Freudenthal joins the faculty of the University of Texas in El Paso in Fall 2004. | |||
| The objective of much of his research has been the design and development of hardware and software system that provide high performance over a range of operating conditions. His dissertation work, at Courant, evaluated and improved the interaction of algorithmic and architectural mechanisms for coordinating large shared memory systems. Dr. Freudenthal has also contributed structural and algorithmic components to the MSTAR model-based target recognition project. Most recently, he has investigated abstractions and mechanism useful for constructing robust, secure and self-organizing distributed systems. | |||
