The MIT degree program consists of ten
courses (30 semester hours).
All students in the program must take a
group of five required core courses.

Each student must also take three courses
selected from the following choices:
Finally, each student selects
one
of the following two options:
Coursework Option:
Complete any two UTEP graduate courses
related to the application of technology to
that academic discipline. Students who
elect this option will also complete the
comprehensive final examination provided for
in the Graduate Catalog.
or
Thesis Option:
This option is satisfied by registering for MIT
5398 Thesis and 5399 Thesis. Successful
completion and defense of the thesis
satisfies the UTEP Graduate School
requirement for a comprehensive final
examination.
