8/22/09 - Ricardo Portillo Returns from ORNL Internship

Three month internship with the Technology Integration group at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Worked on extending the Lustre parallel file system to provide scalable quality of service to applications running on massively parallel machines.

6/16/09 - Ricardo Portillo awarded the The Google Hispanic College Fund Scholarship

The Google Hispanic College Fund Scholarship Program offers funds to students studying computer science or computer engineering who are juniors or seniors in college or pursuing a Master's or PhD. Selected scholars each receive a USD $10,000 academic scholarship and are invited to an all-expenses paid trip to the Google Headquarters in California in 2010.

1/10/09 - Mitesh Meswani is awarded the Dodson Dissertation Fellowship

The objective of the dissertation fellowship is to provide the opportunity for doctoral students to concentrate entirely on their academic work and writing so that they can complete their degree programs.
