David Novick's Color Illusion Page: Triple and Quadruple Munker Illusions

This page presents examples of Munker illusions with three or four apparently different colors.

ust for fun, here are three new color illusions. In each case, the ovals are all exactly the same color. In this example, the ovals appear orangish, yellow, and greenish.
In this second example, with the same foreground colors, the ovals appear nearly lavender, greenish, and blueish.
And in this third example, with the same foreground colors, the ovals appear raspberry, pink, and violet.
Quad Munker illusion: Four illusory shades from yellow. All four ovals are the color indicated in the color wheel.
A second quad Munker illusion: Four illusory shades from violet. All four ovals are the color indicated in the color wheel.
