When I lived in the south of France from 1996-1999, I occasionally sent a "Dispatch from Toulouse" to my friends and relations that presents a personal view of life in France. It's a mixture of experiences as an American living in Toulouse, notes about current events, and occasional personal news.
The latest issues of the Dispatch are observations (from recollections of and subsequent visits to Toulouse) written after I moved to El Paso.
