The north summit of Alamo Mountain is about 6,700 feet. This view, looking southwest from the summit across the top of the mesa, shows the pine trees and agaves that grow here unexpectedly. The view is somewhat misleading, in that the summit's gentle slope ends abruptly in a ring of unseen cliffs.
