Current Research Project:

Name: POEMS (Performance Oriented End to End Modeling of Large Heterogeneous Adaptive Parallel/Distributed Computer/Communication Systems).

Description: POEMS project will create and demonstrate a capability for prediction of the end-to-end performance of parallel/distributed implementations of large scale adaptive applications. POEMS modeling capability will span applications, operating systems including parallel I/O, and architecture. Effort will focus on the areas where there is little convention wisdom such execution behaviors of adaptive algorithms on multi-level memory hierarchies and parallel I/O operations

Masters Project             PROJECT REPORT :  PDF        PS

Name: Electronic Money and Security (ELMOS)

Description: The ELMOS group at UTEP focuses on various applications related to computer security and cryptography. The Digital Contract module of the ELMOS package allows multiple party contract signing using digital signatures based on the randomized transfer protocol algorithm. The Digital Contracts module was entirely developed using Java for maintaining platform independence and used RSA PKCS for security. The application was tested on PC's running Windows 2000.
