Due Date: Wednesday, May 2, or Thursday, May 3, 2007, before the beginning of your lab section.
Objective: The main objective of this assignment is to use many concepts and techniques that you learned in this class.
Programming assignment: Chapter 12 of the book describes the calculator which performs operations on integers. Write a similar program that can be used to perform operations on fractions. A fraction can be naturally defined as an object with two fields: numerator and denominator.
Do not worry about simplifying fractions, it is OK to have 1/2 + 1/3 = 3/6, without the need to simplify the result to 1/2. However, if you add this simplification to your code, you will get extra credit.
To do this assignment, you must correspondingly modify an example which is described and explained in detail in the book.
Deliverables: as instructed by your TA.
