Dr. Moore's research and teaching interests are in the areas of computer organization and operating systems, parallel and distributed computing, exascale computing, and performance and scalability of large-scale deep learning.
Available Student Research Positions
I am currently looking for a PhD student interested in doing
research in performance and scalability of large-scale deep learning frameworks
and applications. We will be running and evaluating state-of-the-art
deep learning frameworks on supercomputers using benchmarks from the MLPerf HPC
benchmark suite, developing performance modeling, measurement, and analysis
tools for large-scale deep learning workflows, and working with domain
scientists to incorporate deep learning into their scientific simulation
