We are a group of people who share interests in all aspects of constraint solving
and optimization. We do research on applications of constraints and on discovering
new constraint solving and optimization algorithms. We are also involved in
educational activities, and in outreach activities.

Jonatan M. Contreras

Program: PhD, Computer Science.

I am interested in explainable AI, broadly.
My main expertise is in machine learning applications
but I am interested in applying theoretical methods
such as Constraint Solving, Interval Analysis, and
formal methods to help make machine learning results
more interpretable.

Sara Gonzalez

Program: PhD, Ecology and Evolutionary Biology.
Prospective Graduation Date: May, 2024.

As a certified teacher in the state of Texas,
I strive to make my passion for science accessible
to all. Coming from a family of engineers, I was
involved in robotics through high school and became
a mentor once graduating. Using my varied background,
I hope to develop an application that harnesses the
power of Computer Vision and Machine Learning to identify
important Phenotypic Traits in the cosmopolitan Mallard
complex, and use that information to expand our knowledge
on Complex Genes using the Lavretsky Lab's Genomic studies.

in our world. I am currently working on classifying images using

I will be doing a Software Engineering concentration
under my degree with a minor in Mathematics. In the future,

of Puerto Rico at Arecibo, affiliated with the CR2G.
I had the opportunity to work with the CR2G group
through the CAHSI organization, in which I could do
